Intro Talk for TKMB

  1. Girls should act like girls. I disagree because that's basically telling how people should act. Girls can be tomboys, and its not rare that others mistake some tomboys as actual boys. My cousin is a tomboy herself, and downright looks like a boy, with the exception of her voice.
  2. Nobody is all good or all bad. I agree because there is no mortal (my own way of saying "person" or "people") I know who is perfect, in good or evil. When people do good or bad things, it's common for them to do the exact opposite in the end. In OMAM (Of Mice And Men) Lennie, a mentally disabled character in the story, is known for having unprecidented strength when at work at a ranch he and his friend George work at, and is also known for unintentionally killing small animals such as mice and puppies, and even ends up killing Curley's wife.

Blog Entry #5 If you could change the ending in Of Mice and Men how would you change it?

I would have changed Lennie's death, and Lennie "accidentally" killing Curley's wife. When Curley's wife went to talk to Lennie, she should not have let Lennie touch her hair, surely because she saw the dead puppy that Lennie was petting and already knew how it died.  She knew how strong Lennie was, for when she wandered the ranch to find someone to talk to, she saw Lennie singlehandedly carry bags that no ordinary man could carry alone. She somehow even knew how Curley's hand "got caught in a machine". So when Curley's wife went to see Lennie, she whould have kept a certain distance away from Lennie. If she kept her distance, she wouldn't have died. If she didn't die then Lennie could have avoided trouble.
